Japan imported beef from US prohibited importing by BSE infection


It mixes with container that loads pork

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced that this ministry had confirmed beef from the United States that prohibited importing for Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, or BSE, infection prevention mixed with the container of the pork loading on November 18.

20 beef boxes, about 310 kilograms, mixed with the container that loaded 586 pork boxes.

The imported pork was corresponding to the content of the certificate description that the U.S.A. Government organization issued. However, the certificate was not appended to beef.

The ministry incinerates all the beefs imported by mistake. The ministry speaks not to circulate beef from the United States to the domestic market.
