Antibacterial agents this time detected from cultivation fish from South Korea


Health Ministry executed inspection instruction

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare executed the inspection instruction to the import trader of cultivation fish "Flatfish" or turbot, from South Korea on November 19.

It is because this ministry detected antibacterial agent "Enrofloxacin" from the cultivation turbot.

Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare had stepped up surveillance in the quarantine station after Shizuoka City had found the violation by the inspection on October 27. The quarantine station in Fukuoka City detected it.

The ministry just detected the residual pesticide that exceeded the standard from "Shallot" of the vegetable on November 12 over food imports from South Korea.
