The acrylamide is a material generated when the ingredient that contains a lot of carbohydrates including the potato is heating cooked. A lot of the materials have been detected from potato chips and french fries.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is recruiting consumer groups that take part in an assembly now. The deadline is December 9.

The international expert meeting held next February evaluates the risk of the influence on health of the acrylamide in food according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
