Oil Refiner and Saler Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd.( TSE 1st: 5007,web) announced on April 21 that customers information on the credit card used in the service station had been leaked outside the company, adding that the leak may involve date on about 2.2 million people.
The data leak case of private information is recentry successive. The information leak have come to light 4.5 million person by Yahoo BB, 1.4 million person by ACCA Networks Co., 320,000 person by Sanyo Shinpan Finance in just this year.
The leak by the Cosmo is expected to be the largest scale following Yahoo BB in this year.
