JA decided the stopping of the cultivation examination of easing hay fever GM rice

National Federation of Agricultural Co-operative Associations (web), JA Zen-Noh, the Japannese biggest producer group of farm products, announced on May 26 that it cancels the cultivation examination to evaluate the biological diversity influence, biosafety or environmental safety examination, of a genetically modified rice plant to be able to expect the effect of the hay fever caused by cedar pollen easing.

On the same day, independent administrative agency National Institute of Agrobiological Science (web) that researched in cooperation with JA Zen-Noh also announced the stopping of cultivation on the homepage.
