Consumer groups announced result of first "Evaluation of consumer-oriented management of food business"


Seven companies including Asahi Breweries, Ajinomoto and Nippon Flour Mills group headquarters received A evaluation of the highest rank

Four consumer groups announced on July 23 "Questionnaire survey concerning the evaluation of the consumer-oriented management of the food industry" result. Such a kind of questionnaire survey by consumer groups is the first time in Japan.

The consumer groupses executed the questionnaire concerning a decision situation of the independent action standard of the consumer protection and environmental protection for 154 listed companies, and ranked the enterprises based on the total.

Seven companies, Asahi Breweries, Ltd., Ajinomoto, Nisshin Flour Milling group headquarters, Nippon Flour Mills, Meiji Seika, Morinaga Confectionery, and Snow Brand Milk Products Co., Ltd,. in total were chosen to be "A rank" that had received high acclaim most in 100 point full marks.

Nippon Flour Mills that received the evaluation of A rank announced on the homepage the comment with "Our company decided the code of conduct 'It kept providing a safe, high-quality commodity and service for all customers', and had worked from various angles of appending the quality standard book from the raw material procurement destination and the establishment of the system of the consumer complaint report honestly. It was errorless in this direction".
