Consumer and civic groups such as Consumers Union of Japan and Food Safety Citizen's Watch announced the statement of "Japanese Government has to maintainAll slaughtered cattle for BSE" and "The government should execute the risk evaluation of the imported beef from the United States".
Because "All slaughtered cattle for BSE review theory" that aims at the lifting ban on the beef from the United States import has surfaced concerning BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) problem between Japan-U.S. both governments.
Both groups clearly declared the posture opposed the import renewal of beef from the United States for the reasons with "The United States system of the BSE inspection is insufficient. The uneasiness of safety is not canceled".
The groups are searching for a coordinated movement of the consumer groups and the civic group in Japan-U.S. responding to 14 groups' including the employee of the United States fresh meat major company Tyson foods being submitting the statement that supports all head examination of Japan to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
