Consumer complaint consultation number of Japan broke worst record, reached 1.37 million of 500,000 increases compared with previous year


Complaint concerning contract, cancellation increases rapidly: Is it warning in contract society?

Consumer complaint consultation number in fiscal year 2003 registered in Paionet, nationwide consumer life information network system, of The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan (NCAC) reached 1.37 million.

It has increased by about even 500,000 compared with the previous year.

The consultation accounted for 82.5% of the whole concerning "Contract and cancellation".

Details are published in "Consumer life annual report" announced in October.

Paionet is a system that collects information on the consultation concerning the consumer life from the network as for a local consumer life center.
