Attention rising to consumer by health damage of health foods added illegal medicine element


National Institute of Health and Nutrition:Watch out foods with strong effect

Recently, the National Institute of Health and Nutrition of Independent Policy Corporation took up a past case of food, no permission and no approval medicine, that emphasized the diet effect such as the herb tea to which the medicine element was added by homepage "Safety and effectiveness information on 'Health food'" reacting on the medicine element's having been detected from health food one after another by Fukuoka Prefecture and Tokyo.

This laboratory is calling for attention on the homepage , saying that "Food with strong effect may doubt 'Medicine element have been added' possibility when thinking about the situation in which an illegal medicine element is added to food".
