Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced a simple measurement result of the indoor chemical substance executed until July 12th - August 11th for 256 schools in the metropolitan school on September 2.
When Tokyo Metropolitan Government sealed up for five hours or more after ventilating the classroom for 30 minutes or more and it measured it, the formaldehyde and the toluene that exceeded the reference in 43 school 76 classrooms were detected.
The Government has enumerated the following three points of the reason to detect the toxic chemical substance that exceeds the reference from 76 classrooms.
- Influence of intense heat this summer
- It measured it while sealed up for five hours or more different from a usual usage condition.
- Many of measurements were special classrooms, the use frequency was low, and the chance to ventilate was few.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government persists in the necessity of ventilation to the school.
