Remark of senior official of Cabinet Office causes a stir

A senior official of the Cabinet Office made remarks, "It doesn't make presenting the bill to next year's regular session of the Diet a prerequisite. Presenting the bill depends on a progress report situation of the discussion" on "Consumer group lawsuit system" bill in Economic Welfare Council that had been held on September 10.

Consumer groups cannot grip the real intention of the remark that changes a current attitude completely and are angry because of a sudden change in the attitude of the Cabinet Office.

The Cabinet Office was scheduling the bill submission to next year's regular session of the Diet according to a current explanation.
