The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced on October 13, "It is not effective at all" diet foods that displayed such an emphasis description.
The announcement is based on the investigation result of the National Institute of Health and Nutrition of Independent Policy Corporation.
Because such a display violated the guideline of the healthy improvement law that forbade the false advertisement, this ministry clarified that the deletion of the advertisement was ordered to the diet foods enterprises.
