Metallic mixing accident of YOTSUBA Inc. shakes Japanese dairy products industry


Incompleteness of system of risk management exposed

"Chain of danger" risk has extended due to the metallic mixing accident of dairy products manufacturer "YOTSUBA Inc.".

The damage of the voluntary recall has extended to the processing food industry of the whole country.

This time, Maruha voluntarily recalled the processed food with the cheese.

Maruha that received the report from the processing manufacturer of the second raw materials announced that it voluntarily recalled its "Boiled fish paste with the cheese" on October 21.

Because the company was using the product of "YOTSUBA Inc." polluted by mixing the metal piece.

Toyo Suisan, Rokko Butter, and Nippon Ham were announcing that they voluntarily recalled the processed food that used the cheese of the YOTSUBA Inc. on October 20.
