Fires by electric stove happen frequently

Fires by the electric stove put up in preparation for the studio apartment happen frequently. 15 fires broke out only in fiscal year 2004.

National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) warned consumerses to replace it by a safe switch on January 13. The electric stove, that has caused the accident, is a product that the projecting switch to turn on power is set up on the surface of the stove.

It is easy for residents who do not cook usually so much to put the combustible on an electric stove. When it turns on power by partially of the body and the property touching the switch of an electric stove while they do not notice, and a fire breaks out, explained NITE.

The product, that doesn't repair to prevent a careless manipulation, has caused fires among electric stoves manufactured before the revision of the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Law technical standard.

NITE rouses watching out to the consumers that has an electric stove of the projecting switch , saying that "We want you the replacement with a safe switch by promptly contacting the manufacturer and the industry segments group".
