152 traders such as "Dole" and "Queen's Isetan" did illegal label


Agriculture Ministry detected by farm products investigation

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries that executed the label investigations such as "Name", "Country of origin", and "Agricultural chemicals nonuse" of farm products for the retail store in about 3000 shops in the whole country announced on February 4 that 152 traders had been doing an illegal label.

There were farm products displayed, "Nonuse all the chemosyntheses agricultural chemicals" though agricultural chemicals were used.
And, the violation case where the country of origin was camouflaged also turned out.

This ministry executed the instruction chastising and the entrepreneur's making the name public based on the degree of injustice.

"Dole Japan, Ltd." affixed the label with "Organic fertilizer cultivation" to the banana from the Philippines that used agricultural chemicals. This company apologized on the homepage , saying that "Our company was doing wrong recognition of non-chemosyntheses materials about the control materials (agricultural chemicals that might not harm farm products, the person, the livestock product, and the fishery animal and the plant) used for the banana".

And, "Queen's Isetan Shizuoka Isetan shop" sold the vegetable imported from foreign countries as domestic production.
