Reacting on the report that carcinogenic artificial color "Sudan 1" was detected from a lot of processed foods such as the instant cup noodle and Kentucky Fried Chicken in China, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare guided on April 1 the voluntary inspection to the enterprises that imported the processed food from China including the artificial color.
Trading companies and the food manufacturers that import the processed food that contains the artificial color from China should receive the inspection by "Registration inspection" organization of this ministry.
This ministry observes the artificial color of illegal carcinogenic of other foods by strengthening the monitor inspection.
It develops into a largest-ever food recall in Britain over carcinogenic artificial color "Sudan 1" since the end of February.
Nippon Flour Mills was announcing that this company voluntarily recalled pasta-sause from Italy "Arrabiata" (400g with the bottle) in which "Sudan 1" mixed in September, 2003 in Japan.
