The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry ordered on April 1 the business suspension of three months based on specific trade law to health food mail order trader Sapporo Seiyaku (Medicine Manufacture), in Chuo Ward, Sapporo City, Hokkaido , saying that "If you drank the black vinegar drink after you ate, you can become slim while keeping beauty" because it had displayed the fallacy advertisement.

The Sapporo Seiyaku distributed about five million handbills tucked in to the newspaper to nationwide various places last November, and sold black vinegar dieting drink "Madam Beauty Vinegar BT" by mail according to this ministry.

This company was advertising, "You had not grown fat any longer even if you ate neatly every day" and "You beautifully became slender, and the body was energetic" by handling the well known actresses with the handbill.

When this ministry examined the material submitted by this company, this ministry was not able to discover reasonable grounds about the effect of weight reduction displayed in the advertisement.

In addition, this company was expressing in the advertisement, "If you were not satisfied, our company repays you the commodity price full amount".

Though this company was displaying like responding to the repayment of the commodity price almost unconditionally, actually, it had been imposing a lot of severe conditions on the consumer upon the repayment.
